Dr. Denton D. Weiss, MD, FACS

BOARD-CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON

Dr. Denton D. Weiss is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose career reflects both rigorous academic training and a lifelong commitment to patient-centered care.

  • Dr. Denton D. Weiss is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose career reflects both rigorous academic training and a lifelong commitment to patient-centered care. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa before earning early admission to the Medical College of Wisconsin.

    He went on to complete his surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as a Naval Medical Officer. Dr. Weiss pursued his 2nd residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School in Boston - institutions known for clinical excellence and surgical innovation.

    Following Dr. Weiss’ departure from the United States Navy as a Commander in 2000, he joined Eastern Virginia Medical School to practice plastic surgery in Hampton Roads.

    Dr. Weiss has practiced plastic surgery in Hampton Roads since 1998. In 2006, he fulfilled a long-standing vision: to create an environment where aesthetic excellence and genuine human care coexist. That vision became reality with the establishment of his private practice and, in 2008, the development of an accredited on-site surgical center.

    The practice has evolved into Bella Vitae Wellness Center, reflecting Dr. Weiss’s expanded philosophy that exceptional outcomes begin from within. Today, his approach integrates surgical expertise with principles of health, nutrition, metabolic balance, and whole-person wellness. He is known for thoughtful discernment, often guiding patients toward preparation, optimization, or alternative paths when surgery is not yet the right step. His belief is simple but rare: results are additive, not reductive.

    Dr. Weiss is widely respected by both patients and physicians, frequently serving as a referral destination for complex cases requiring refined aesthetic judgment and advanced surgical skill. His reputation has been built almost entirely by word of mouth - a testament to trust, consistency, and outcomes that stand the test of time.

    He and his wife, Michelle - his childhood sweetheart - have been married for over 40 years and work side by side in the practice. Together, they have two daughters and two grandchildren. Outside of medicine, Dr. Weiss is passionate about the arts, particularly painting and sculpting, pursuits that echo his appreciation for proportion, balance, and natural beauty.

    In 2006, Dr. Weiss and Michelle founded the Bella Vitae Foundation.  It is a 501(c)(3) organization used to uplift individuals pursuing more meaningful and beautiful lives.

    Above all, Dr. Weiss remains committed to treating every patient with fairness, kindness, and compassion - offering everyone who walks through the doors of Bella Vitae not only his surgical skill, but his attention, honesty, and respect.

Dr. Joseph Leonard Grzeskiewicz, MD, FACS

Dr. Joseph Leonard Grzeskiewicz is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than three decades of experience in aesthetic, reconstructive, and microvascular surgery.

  • Dr. Joseph Leonard Grzeskiewicz is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than three decades of experience in aesthetic, reconstructive, and microvascular surgery. His medical journey began at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he earned his MD through the U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program.

    Following his surgical internship at the United States Naval Hospital in San Diego, Dr. Grzeskiewicz served as a Naval Flight Surgeon, and was promoted to a Lieutenant Commander. During his military career, he held key leadership roles within Marine Aircraft Group 39 and Helicopter Light Attack Squadron 169 - experiences that shaped his discipline, precision, and commitment to excellence.

    He completed comprehensive training in plastic surgery through an Integrated General and Plastic Surgery Residency, followed by advanced fellowships in Microvascular Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery, and Hand Surgery at several esteemed institutions, including the University of Missouri, Baker-Stuzin Plastic Surgery Associates in Miami, and the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. He has been board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2000 and maintains active medical licensure in Virginia.

    For more than 25 years, Dr. Grzeskiewicz served the San Diego community as a plastic surgeon, including his role as an Attending Surgeon at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and through his long-standing private practice in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He has also served as Medical Director for multiple aesthetic centers, helping to develop safe, ethical, and innovative standards of care.

    In 2022, he returned to his home state of Virginia and joined Bella Vitae Wellness Center. His approach reflects the practice’s philosophy: aesthetic care should enhance confidence, not alter identity. With deep technical expertise and a respect for proportion and harmony, he focuses on results that feel natural, authentic, and refined.

    Known for his compassion and precision, Dr. Grzeskiewicz believes that listening is as critical as surgical technique. He guides each and every Bella Vitae patient with clarity and honesty, ensuring they feel informed, confident, and fully supported in their decisions.

Alexandra “Ali” Francis, FNP-BC

  • Ali Francis is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), laser treatments, Morpheus8, chemical peels, and weight management. She creates personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs and is passionate about helping patients feel confident and empowered to make healthy lifestyle choices.

    A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ali earned her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois before completing her nursing degree at Rush University College of Nursing in Chicago. Her nursing background includes invaluable experience in surgical ICU, interventional radiology (IR), PACU, and vascular surgery - all providing a strong clinical foundation in complex, high-level care.

    In 2021, she graduated from Old Dominion University with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and continued working in vascular surgery as a Nurse Practitioner until transitioning into her advanced practice role at Bella Vitae Wellness Center in 2023.

    Ali brings both precision and compassion to her work, aligning her clinical expertise with Bella Vitae’s whole-person philosophy of care.

Neale L. Ford, BSN, RN, CANS

  • Neale Ford earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from James Madison University and began her career in aesthetics working with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Richard A. Mladick.

    She later became Director of his Facial Rejuvenation Center, where she focused on cosmetic injectables, laser treatments, medical-grade skincare, and micropigmentation. In 2007, her passion for aesthetics led her to become a national speaker and trainer for Aesthetic Advancements, Inc., and in 2009 she became a trainer for the Allergan Medical Institute.

    In 2015, Neale earned her Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) designation. She is also an active member of the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses.

    Neale strives to be an invaluable resource in aesthetics at Bella Vitae Wellness Center. Her patients appreciate her professional and caring demeanor, as well as her commitment to delivering excellent, natural results.

Amy Mack, APRN, FNP-C

  • Amy is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and began her career in the Tidewater area as an officer in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. After several years of experience as a Registered Nurse, she advanced her education at Georgetown University, earning her Master of Science in Nursing and becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

    Amy specializes in wellness and longevity medicine, with advanced training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for both women and men. Her practice also includes weight management, health coaching, peptide therapy, laser treatments, and hair restoration—offering a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to optimizing health and vitality.

    Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys coastal living and escaping to the mountains. She values staying active, traveling, cooking, and savoring a great cup of coffee. She is a proud mother and stepmother to five adult children and “Gia” to ten beloved grandchildren. Amy and her husband, Tim, cherish the joy of a close-knit and ever-growing family.

Randy Kersey

BUSINESS MANAGER

  • A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Randy earned his degree in Business Administration from Drake University before building a distinguished career in executive leadership. Prior to joining Bella Vitae Wellness Center, he served as CEO of Wright Welding Supply, where he led the company through years of growth before selling his share.

    At Bella Vitae, Randy brings strategic oversight and operational excellence to the business side of the practice, ensuring that the patient experience remains seamless behind the scenes.

    He now calls Portsmouth home and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, baking artisan bread, and serving his community through his church.

Michelle Weiss

PRACTICE MANAGER & PATIENT COUNSELOR

  • Also raised in the heartland, Michelle attended Iowa State University before marrying her childhood sweetheart, Dr. Denton Weiss. During his naval career, she devoted herself to raising their children while traveling the world alongside him on military assignments.

    In 2006, after settling in Virginia, Michelle helped open what would become Bella Vitae Wellness Center and the Virginia Beach Surgery Center. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping the warm, relationship-driven culture that defines the practice today.

    Michelle serves as both Practice Manager and Patient Counselor, offering thoughtful guidance to patients as they navigate deeply personal decisions. She is passionate about the arts, active in her community, and a dedicated advocate for victims’ rights.

Colleen Kersey

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

  • A valued member of the Bella Vitae team for over 15 years, Colleen is often one of the first voices patients hear and one of the steady presences they come to trust. A graduate of Iowa State University, she brings warmth, discernment, and attentiveness to every patient interaction.

    Colleen is deeply people-oriented and finds joy in meaningful connection, whether with patients, her family, or her community. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, volunteering, spending time with loved ones, and quiet moments of reflection grounded in her faith.

    Her calm presence and depth of experience help create the welcoming, personal environment that defines the Bella Vitae experience.

Ann Marie Diana

ASSISTANT PRACTICE MANAGER

  • Ann Marie began her career in medicine as a Registered Nurse before transitioning into physician practice management and medical group administration. She retired from Eastern Virginia Medical School as an Administrator in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, bringing decades of institutional expertise to Bella Vitae Wellness Center.

    At Bella Vitae, she oversees accreditation and compliance for the on-site Virginia Beach Surgery Center, ensuring the highest standards of safety and regulatory excellence.

    A Virginia Beach resident, Ann Marie enjoys reading, volunteering, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren. Her impressive background and commitment to excellence reinforce the foundation of trust upon which Bella Vitae is built.

Gabriella Gerber

PATIENT CONCIERGE

  • Since 2016, Gabriella has served as a dedicated Patient Concierge, bringing with her a wealth of experience across the health, fashion, and beauty industries. Her background uniquely positions her to understand both the science and the artistry behind aesthetics and wellness.

    Gabriella is passionate about creating a truly positive patient experience through genuine human connection - offering warmth, knowledge, and a touch of humor along the way.     Continually inspired by the individuals who walk through Bella Vitae’s doors, Gabriella looks forward to coming to work each day. Celeste Orndoff

  • Originally from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Celeste and her son made their way to Virginia Beach by way of Honolulu, bringing with them a spirit of warmth, resilience, and refined Southern hospitality.

    As a Patient Concierge at Bella Vitae, Celeste offers a unique blend of management and entrepreneurial experience, paired with an intuitive understanding of patient care. Since joining the practice in 2023, she has become known for her poised presence, attention to detail, and ability to create a seamless, welcoming experience for every patient.

    Celeste is dedicated to cultivating trust through thoughtful communication and personalized guidance, ensuring each individual feels confident, informed, and cared for throughout their journey. Beyond the practice, she remains actively engaged in the Virginia Beach community through volunteering at her church and is deeply passionate about serving others and making a meaningful impact.

Kristen Kramer

  • Kristen joined the Bella Vitae Wellness team in June of 2022, following a decade-long career in the veterinary field where she developed a deep commitment to attentive, compassionate care.

    A Virginia Beach local since 2012, Kristen has built both her career and family life here. She has been married to her husband, AJ, since 2016, and together they have two beautiful children. As a family, they enjoy hiking and spending summer days on the Chesapeake Bay.

    Kristen’s favorite part of her role is patient interaction. She treasures the opportunity to truly get to know each individual, understanding their needs on a deeper level and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and valued. She strives to make every patient feel special - a reflection of Bella Vitae’s belief that exceptional outcomes begin with understanding the whole person.

Kourtney Jodlowski, BSN, RN

NURSE MANAGER / OPERATING ROOM MANAGER

  • Kourtney is a seasoned Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience and a proud North Carolina native. She combines expertise, leadership, and compassion to ensure every patient that comes through Bella Vitae’s doors receives attentive and thoughtful care. Outside of work, Kourtney enjoys family time, relaxing with her dog Jackson, fashion, coffee, movies, and pop culture…and she never passes up the opportunity to take a good nap.

    Kourtney’s path into plastic surgery is both personal and professional. Inspired by her mother’s journey through breast cancer, she developed a deep appreciation for surgical care and its transformative potential. Specializing in lasers and injectables, she helps patients feel confident, radiant, and celebrated, recognizing that even the smallest enhancements can profoundly impact self-esteem and personal transformation.

Rachel Clark, BSN, RN

  • Rachel is a dedicated Registered Nurse with over five years of experience in high-acuity settings, including the Emergency Room and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Her early career honed her technical expertise, clinical instincts, and commitment to patient-centered care, which she now brings to the field of plastic surgery at Bella Vitae.

    Outside of work, Rachel enjoys the gym, reading, traveling, spending time with friends, and relaxing with her cat, Sushi. Her transition into aesthetics has allowed her to combine her passion for precision, detail, and human connection, supporting patients through transformations that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Amber Platz, RN

  • Amber is a Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalized care at every stage of the Bella Vitae experience - from initial consultation through surgery and recovery. With a steady presence and meticulous attention to detail, she helps ensure each patient’s journey is seamless, safe, and thoughtfully supported.

    Her approach blends clinical precision with genuine compassion. Amber understands that surgery is not simply a procedure, but a deeply personal decision. She prioritizes clear communication, patient education, and reassurance, creating an environment where individuals feel informed, prepared, and truly cared for. Whether answering questions, coordinating care, or offering encouragement during recovery, she remains a consistent and calming advocate for her patients.

    Outside the clinic, Amber enjoys traveling, attending live music events, and spending quality time with her beloved family and friends - experiences that reflect her appreciation for connection, balance, and beautiful living.

Hunter Blackwell, BSN, RN

  • Hunter is a North Carolina native and a Registered Nurse with eight years of experience. Known for her calm, compassionate presence, she brings warmth and attentiveness to every patient interaction. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and taking long walks with her dog. Hunter also loves cozy coffee shops, savoring the chance to relax with a warm cup and a sweet treat.

    Her background in emergency nursing provided a strong foundation in fast-paced, high-stakes care, but it was her passion for personal connection and holistic support that drew her to plastic surgery. Hunter is dedicated to helping patients at Bella Vitae feel their best, inside and out, blending technical expertise with empathetic guidance throughout every step of their journey.

Karrington Flood, BS, RN

  • Karrington, a Virginia Beach native and Registered Nurse, has over five years of nursing experience and is known for her vibrant personality and compassionate care. Outside of work, Karrington enjoys concerts, traveling, boating, and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs. She also has a deep passion for an excellent cup of coffee, makeup, skincare, and fashion.

    Her interest in plastic surgery blossomed from a fascination with the transformative power of procedures - both subtle enhancements and more extensive reconstructive work. Karrington is dedicated to helping Bella Vitae’s patients feel empowered, confident, and fully seen, blending artistry, precision, and advocacy to support meaningful change.

Wendy Busam, BSN, RN

  • Wendy Busam is a Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of experience in the operating room, bringing a deep level of clinical knowledge and calm expertise to every patient interaction at Bella Vitae Wellness Center. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has spent her career specializing in surgical care.

    Known for her steady presence and attention to detail, Wendy is passionate about providing safe, thoughtful care and helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their experience.

    Outside of work, Wendy enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time at the beach. She also loves being at home with her rescue dog, Kaia, and making the most of her time with family and friends.

Jessica McGuire, CMA

LABORATORY OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

  • Jessica is a Certified Medical Assistant who joined Dr. Weiss’ team in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University and brings a strong background of both clinical experience and compassionate care to her role.

    Prior to joining Bella Vitae, Jessica worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and served eight years in the Marine Corps Reserves, achieving the rank of sergeant. As Laboratory Operations Coordinator, she is dedicated to making each patient’s venipuncture experience as comfortable and seamless as possible.

    Outside of the practice, Jessica enjoys being active in her local church and spending time with her husband and three children.

Michael A. Lepore, MD, FACOG, FACS

  • Dr. Michael A. Lepore received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he also completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

    Dr. Lepore practiced in Suffolk for more than 30 years, building a respected private practice dedicated to women’s health. Though now retired from full-time practice, he continues his commitment to supporting women’s well-being and hormonal balance.

    At Bella Vitae Wellness Center, Dr. Lepore serves as a trusted consultant to the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy program, offering his decades of experience and expertise to help guide thoughtful, personalized care for every patient.
